The deputy of the City Council of Odessa became the "Emperor" Palpatine

In Odessa, the city council following the results of the elections was one of the humorist politicians who used the image of the Heroes of the KinoSaga "Star Wars". However, they were not one of the many “Vader Darths”, but another powerful character is Emperor Palpatine, who, according to the plot of the film, was a Vader mentor.

Dmitry Palpatin really works as an “emperor” at Palpatin Finance Group LLC. According to preliminary data, he gains 54.4% of the vote: this is enough to get to the local legislative body. Palpatine ran for the 57th district in the village of Kotovsky on the list of the party "Trust the Affairs", writes the local publication "Dumskaya" .

The first on the list of this party is the current mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov. According to the publication, the mayor’s party holds 30 or 31 deputies to the City Council (in total in the Council of 64, the parliamentarian).

This is not the first election campaign in which Palpatine takes part. In October 2014, he participated in extraordinary parliamentary elections, entering the first five list of the Internet party of Ukraine (along with Darth Vader, Stepan Chubakka, Padme Amidala and Yoda Master Vladimirovich), RBC recalls.

Meanwhile, the OSCE Bureau for Democratic Institutes and Human Rights came to the conclusion that the local elections in Ukraine were competitive, well organized, and generally complyed with the principles of democracy. This is stated in a press release on the website of the monitoring mission.

The farce continued when Darth Vader and the attack aircraft was kicked out of the polling station for illegal campaigning. Lord Dart Vader tried to vote on his site in the N9 gymnasium. It is reported that he was not on the list of voters, although the whole family of a dark lord, including the son of Luke and daughter Leia, was able to participate in the elections. According to the "First Odessa Canal", Vader simply refused to present a passport.

However, the misadventures of the heroes did not end there. The Patrol Police recently starting work in Odessa made a claim to Chubakke, who "worked" as a driver of a car that delivered Vader to the vote. Chubakka was detained due to the lack of identity documents, as well as rights allowing driving a car. In addition, the police stated that the car was parked incorrectly.

The district court on the same day determined the measure of punishment in the form of a modest fine of 170 hryvnias (about 500 rubles), to which Chubakka said that he was not ready to pay it, since there was no "Galactic Bank" on earth where his money is stored.

The name of one of the main characters of the Star Wars space saga has been used more than once by candidates in the Ukrainian elections. Dart Alekseevich Vader was registered as a presidential candidate from the Internet Party of Ukraine, TASS recalls. The parliamentary elections immediately went to 16 darts of Vaders (with different patronymics), but not one of them in the leader of the race for places in the Rada was still knocked out. In the elections of the mayor of Kyiv, Vader scored less than 2% of the vote, after which he accused the CEC of falsifying the results of the plebiscite.
