Co-chairman of the Association of Ukrainians of Russia Valery Semenenko, detained after a search on the morning of October 28, was released after a many-hour conversation at the Taganskaya interdistrict prosecutor's office of the Central Administrative District of Moscow. The conversation, like the search, took place without a lawyer.
There was no official information about the reason for the search and detention. According to unconfirmed reports, the search may be related to the resumption of the investigation into the criminal case of the Library of Ukrainian Literature, which was closed in 2011. On October 28, searches were also carried out in the library building and at its director Natalya Sharina.
