President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a speech at an operational meeting of the command staff of the armed forces, said that from a military point of view, no one needs the placement of a Russian air base on the territory of the country. He noted that in peacetime the Russian component is present as part of the air defense forces on duty, and if necessary, large forces of the Russian army will be deployed to the country.
