A new bread production facility will appear in Krasnoye Selo

Fazer LLC intends to invest 14.4 billion rubles in the construction of a frozen and fresh bakery products plant in Krasnoe Selo. To do this, the company is asking the city to allocate a land plot of 20-22 hectares, as well as to grant the project strategic status.

The plant, which will be located in Krasnoe Selo, on Spirina Street, includes two lines. As Konstantin Mandelstam, Deputy General Director for Production and Logistics of Fazer LLC, reported yesterday at the Investment Council under the Governor of St. Petersburg, it is planned to spend 6 billion rubles on the construction of the first stage, which will require about 10 hectares of land. The construction area of this phase will be 22 thousand square meters. m, its capacity will reach 35 thousand tons of frozen bakery products per year. The company intends to begin implementation of the first phase in 2016 and complete it in 2018. As for the second stage, it will occupy a plot of 12 hectares, the building area will be 30 thousand square meters. m, it will produce 100 thousand tons of fresh bakery products per year. The required investments will amount to 8.4 billion rubles. Construction of the second phase will begin in 2023 and end in 2025. The payback period of the project is estimated by the investor at 12.8 years. The company will receive the status of a strategic investor after an examination by the Investment Committee and the corresponding order of Governor Georgy Poltavchenko.

Fazer LLC is part of the international company Fazer, which operates in eight countries and produces bakery, flour confectionery products, chocolate and candies, grain products, and is engaged in catering. As for Russia, Fazer LLC now has three production sites in St. Petersburg and one in Moscow.
