Moscow Musical Theater will represent opera John Taverns

November 6 and 7 at the Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl.I. Nemirovich-Danchenko (MAMT) will be the premiere performances of the opera of John Tavern "Mord".

The English composer John Tavener (1944–2013) wrote the chamber opera "Mole" ( a Gentle Spirit ) in 1977. The world premiere took place in the same year at the Royal Bat Theater.

“History is based on F.M. Dostoevsky, which is based on the "Onegin plot", as a kind of archetypal conflict, transferred to another historical context. This correspondence emphasizes the existential hopelessness of the heroes not only in terms of the personal tragedy of the impossibility of happiness, but also in the historical and temporary perspective, ”the website of the Moscow Musical Theater reports .

The director of the performance is Maria de Vakoff, the music director and conductor, the director is Ivan Velikanov.

The production director and choreographer Arthur Oshchepkov, production designer Igor Gurovich, costume designer Tatyana Dolmatovskaya, artist in the world Ildar Zhgrandinov also work on the production.
