
In Istanbul, the administrator of the site "Caucasus-Center", the former Chechen field commander Abdulvahid Edilgeriev, was killed. It is reported by Lifenews. Edilgeriev was shot dead in the afternoon of November 1 near his house when he returned from the mosque from midday prayer. According to the Turkish publication of International Pressmedya, two unknown masks fired at the Chechen commander, who disappeared after the attack. The Caucasus Center, in turn, claims that there were three criminals, Edilgeriyev was killed by several shots from the pistol, and the gun itself, like the car on which the attackers moved, have already been found.

Edilgeriev, also known under the nickname Red, was married to the daughter of Isa Umarov, the half -brother of Movladi Udugov, one of the highest officials of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, who at different times, in particular, the first deputy prime minister, the Minister of Information and Press and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the First Chechen War, Edilgeriev was in the protection of Isa Umarov. Umarov himself, as claimed, is fighting in Syria as part of the detachment of "Imrat Caucasus".
