Investigators of the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the leader of Russia Young, ex-deputy of the State Duma Maxim Mishchenko, TASS reports . He is suspected of fraud when allocating a grant to support a socially oriented non -profit organization.

The second person involved in the case, initiated in part 3 of Article 159 (fraud committed by a group of persons by preliminary conspiracy, on a large scale), is the chairman of the Union of Protection of Persons with Disabilities and Participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant Gennady Efimov. This NPO was intended a grant allocated with the assistance of Mishchenko, who then held the post of deputy minister of domestic policy and the development of local self -government of the Tula region

"According to investigators, in April 2015, the Chernobyl Union funds were allocated for grants in the amount of 650 thousand for on -site events for the participants of the Chernobyl program. In fact, the events were not held, and the money received was transferred to the accounts of other organizations on the basis of the suspects of fictitious agreements, after which Mishchenko and Efimov provided the necessary report on the expenditure of the obtained Grant, ”the press service of the Investigative Committee said.

The case was opened on the basis of materials received from the government of the Tula region. Efimov himself announced the illegal actions of the ex-deputy minister when the grant. Later, the funds were returned to the Tula treasury.

On October 30, Izvestia reported onthe verification of fraud with Grant, which was started by law enforcement agencies of the Tula region. According to Efimov, Mishchenko told him that the government wants to cancel the benefits of the Chernobyls. To combat this decision, social activists must conduct a number of rallies, which needs money for. “The next day in the morning I was with him, he gave me documents for receiving a grant, I signed them, then he sent me to the regional branch of the Ministry of Labor. I received an application there, and already on April 30 the money came to our account,” said Efimov.

In early May, the head of the NPO claimed, Mishchenko asked him to transfer the money received to the account of the companies of Alliance LLC and LLC VOLED Trade Service, concluding with companies the contracts for the manufacture of printed products and the organization of residence and food of 150 people. These services, according to Efimov, remained "only on paper", and the list included custody people.

According to Izvestia, LLC "Alliance" and LLC "Wolver Trade Service" - Moscow firms affiliated with each other. The general director of the "Wave of the Trade Service" is Alexey Klyuchnikov, he is also a co -owner of the Alliance. She signed the contracts with the organization of Chernobyls from the "Alliance" CEO Nina Alexandrova.

Mishchenko was fired from the post of deputy minister of domestic politics in September 2015. Earlier, he was a member of the Public Chamber, butleft it in December 2012 due to the scandal around his statement about cancer patients. Mishchenko was also a deputy of the State Duma of the fifth convocation.

In 2005, Mishchenko organized and headed the pro-Kremlin youth movement "Russia Young", which was transformed into a public organization of the same name in 2010.
