"On October 29, 2015, the urban planning and land commission of Moscow approved the draft urban planning plan of the land plot (GPZU) at Volkhonka Street, the possession of 15 (TRA) for repair and restoration work on the Cathedral of Christ the Savior," the news from which RIA Novosti notes.
As follows from the publication of the Moskomstroyinvest, located at the specified address, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior refers to the identified objects of cultural heritage. It was built in 1882 according to the project of architect Konstantin Tone, lost in 1931 and recreated in 1997. The total area of the temple complex is 60.8 thousand square meters, including the area of the temple itself - 55.8 thousand square meters, the engineering building - almost five thousand square meters, is added in materials.
The project of the urban planning plan of the land plot provides for repair work to restore the strength and operational characteristics of the stylobata part with the balustrade without increasing the area of the facility, the Moskomstroyinvest reported.
