The lawyer of the library of Ukrainian literature applied to the prosecutor's office

On November 5, lawyer Ivan Pavlov complained to the Taganskaya district prosecutor’s office for gross violations when initiating a criminal case at the director of the library of Ukrainian literature Natalia Shain. A copy of the complaint is published on his Facebook page.

According to Pavlov, Sharina was not properly notified of the initiation of a criminal case, which violated her right to defense. In addition, from the procedural documents, according to the lawyer, it follows that in two minutes, officials of various investigative bodies managed to consider the materials of the criminal case and issue relevant procedural decisions, which “is unrealistic taking into account the time necessary for the adoption and execution of such decisions” says Pavlov.

The case was instituted to the ball under the article on the initiation of national hatred due to the fact that during the search on October 28, the Dmitro Korchinsky book, included in the federal list of extremist materials, was discovered in the library. Sharina is under house arrest.
