The authorities of St. Petersburg asked the relatives of those who died in a plane crash over Egypt to leave the Crown Plaza hotel at the airport until Saturday morning. According to the local publication "My District", officials from Smolny explained their request by the fact that further identification of bodies will be carried out by analysis of DNA.

Relatives of the victims were also informed that in the future they will be invited to Petersburg to identify bodies. Meanwhile, some have already stated that they did not have time to draw up documents.

The relatives of the dead were posted in Crown Plaza from November 1. They arrived in St. Petersburg to identify and receive compensation.

The aircraft flying from Sharm Esh-Sheikh to Petersburg crashed in the morning on October 31 near the airport of the city of El-Arysh in Sinai. There were 217 passengers on board, of which 24 children, and seven crew members. All of them died. This is the largest disaster in the history of Russian and Soviet civil aviation. Among the dead were four citizens of Ukraine and one - Belarus. The rest of the passengers and crew members were Russians.
