On November 24, the international memorial and greenhouse of social technologies invite you to take part in the workshop for the search for digital tools to create a visualization of family history in the context of the country.
Modern technologies offer a number of tools for visualizing and creating family history online-we test the most common web applications and analyze the most suitable solutions for each story.
We will be happy to see everyone who is interested in private family stories, and who would like to publicly or in Friends Only to visualize them online. The presence of special skills is not necessary.
National history consists of many personal stories. The experience of the memorial in the reconstruction of personal stories and their inclusion in the national history and in combination with the experience of the greenhouse in the development and optimization of applications will help you choose a convenient tool for independent work.
Certain facts of the biography will be built into an integral story, which can be traced the stages of the country's history, as well as collect photographs, biographical certificates, letters, and oral family certificates in one album.
“Born in Artvin”, “Studied in Tomsk”, “He was a Socialist -Revolutionary”, “Sitting in Prison”, “worked in Kamchatka and Chukotka”, “The Son was born in Moscow”, “Shot in 38m”* - these fragmentary fragments of the life of one person are enough to start a large investigation of family history in archival, museum and library funds (* - an example from the history of Daria's great -grandfather. Ilyashenko, the heroine of the documentary project of the memorial , the reason for the execution ).
Participants will receive recommendations for creating family history, after which they will be divided into groups. Each group will have a mentor that will help participants test a particular application for visualization and creating history. After testing one service, the group goes to another mentor and tests a new service.
After familiarizing yourself with the tools to visualize family history, the participants will have time to independently create history. The workshop will end with a discussion of the results.
The workshop will be held on November 24, 2015 in the office of the International Memorial at the address: Karetny series, 5/10, Moscow. To participate, you need to register and take a laptop or tablet with you.
