The French city spent 65,000 euros for the construction of frog tunnels

The local city council in Brittany spent 65,000 euros on the arrangement of special frog tunnels so that they can safely cross the motorway and get to the swamps and ponds.

According to Euromag , the D86 highway, along which more than 4,000 cars drive daily, crosses the only way from the forests where thousands of frogs live to ponds live. Some of them are representatives of protected species.

Before the arrangement of special passages from one edge of the road to another frog, a group of volunteers transferred. According to one of them, activists used pieces of tarpaulin to block the amphibian path to the roadway, and the basket to catch them.

Tunnel arrangement took three weeks. All this time, the movement on the highway was blocked.
