For the arson of the entrance to the FSB building in Moscow, Pavlensky threatens three years in prison

In relation to the artist Pyotr Pavlensky, who set fire to the central entrance to the Federal Security Service (FSB) in Moscow on November 9, a criminal case was opened under the article “Vandalism”, a representative of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow told TASS.

“The FSB buildings are attributed to objects of the cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation of regional significance. Therefore,“ vandalism ”is charged with“ vandalism, ”explains Vladimir Bartholomeev, journalist of the Echo of Moskvy radio station, the journalist of the Echo of Moscow radio station.

Pavlensky himself, who arrived at the scene with the gas station, doused the entrance door and then set fire, declared this an artistic action. The meaning of the performance is that fear turns free people into a sticky mass and the threat hangs over everyone. He notes that all people are within reach for observation and listening devices. Pavlensky also said that the military courts would eliminate any manifestations of free will.

Pavel Pavlensky was previously involved in court for the Freedom action , which took place in 2014. At first, a criminal case was instituted under the article “Hooliganism”, but then it was closed behind the lack of corpus delicti. In October last year, the artist cut off part of the ear, sitting naked on the fence of the Serbian Psychiatry Institute.
