The student of Moscow State University Karaulova pleaded guilty

The investigation was presented to a student of Moscow State University Barbara Karaulova’s accusation of trying to participate in the Islamic State terrorist organization. As TASS reports , Karaulova fully pleaded guilty. The investigator submitted to the court of medical certificates about the state of health of the accused, according to which she may be kept in jail.

At the same time, Karaulov, who participated in a meeting of the Moscow City Court on the video, announced the abandonment of two of her lawyers - Alexander Noskov and Alexander Karabanov. Thus, at present, Karaulov is protected by Sergey Badamshin and Haji Aliyev.

According to Karabanov, Karaulova made this decision under the pressure of the investigation. "I am sure that my client does not fully realize. With her consciousness, a certain manipulation was carried out under the influence of people in a pre -trial detention center, so I believe that I should stay in business," he said.

The student denied the opinion of the lawyer and stated that her decision was made "independently, without any pressure." Out released the lawyers of Noskov and Karabanov from participating in the case.

On May 27, the 19-year-old warehouse of Karaulova left the house to join IS in Syria . As it turned out, she was carried away by the ideas of radical Islam, but kept her beliefs secret from her parents. Eyewitnesses claimed that after leaving the house, she changed into a hijab.

On May 28, it became known that Karaulov is in Turkey. On June 4, she was detained as part of a group of 11 Russians in the city of Kilis, the capital of the same name in southern Turkey, near the border with Syria. On June 11, employees of the National Migration Agency of Turkey and Interpol delivered Karaulov to Moscow.

The Investigative Committee conducted a preliminary investigation on the facts of the student’s possible participation in the activities of the extremist community and its recruitment, but at the end of July he refused to initiate the case against Karaulova. On October 28, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow arrested Karaulov until December 23. She is charged with part 1 of Article 30 - Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code (preparation for participation in the activities of a terrorist organization).
