The judge of the Tagansky district court of Moscow Marina Orlova satisfied the request for the arrest of the artist Peter Pavlensky for the "Threat" campaign in Lubyanka. Pavlensky was detained for 30 days. He is charged with vandalism based on hatred (part 2 of article 214 of the Criminal Code). Pavlensky faces up to three years in the colony.
Pavlensky demanded to judge him under the article "terrorism" as a sign of solidarity with the Crimean prisoners and defendantsin the ABTO case . Until the case is retrained, the artist announced a vow of silence.
On Monday night, Pavlensky doused the front door of the entrance No. 1 of the FSB of Russia with gasoline and set it on fire. "The burning door of the Lubyanka is a glove that society throws into the face of a terrorist threat ... But terrorism can exist only due to the animal instinct of fear. To go against this human instinct forces an unconditional protective reflex," the statement of Pavlensky said.
The corporateist was immediately detained. During interrogation, he refused to testify. The closed door was soon closed with metal sheets.
Pavlensky is already taking place in another case of vandalism - for the Freedom action, held on February 23, 2014 in St. Petersburg (
