The court arrested the artist of Pavlensky

The Tagan court of Moscow decided to arrest the artist Peter Pavlensky until December 8. It is reported by "Mediazona."

At the imprisonment of the artist, the police insed to custody. The defense of Pavlensky asked to let him go on bail of 1 million rubles.

In relation to Pavlensky, the case was opened under part 2 of Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism committed by a group of persons). On the night of November 9, the artist, as part of the “Threat” campaign, set fire to the FSB building on Lubyanka. The damage caused by the actions of Pavlensky was estimated at 55 thousand rubles.

This is the second case of vandalism regarding Pavlensky: in St. Petersburg a similar thing was initiated after the Freedom campaign during which the artist set fire to tires on the small stable bridge in support of mass protests in Ukraine.

Pavlensky was previously known for his shocking shares. In the summer of 2012, he sewed his mouth in support of the Pussy Riot participants under investigation, at the end of 2013, as part of the Fixation campaign, he nailed himself to the paving stones of Red Square. In October 2014, the artist cut off his earlobe, sitting on the roof of the Serbian Institute, in protest against “punitive psychiatry”.
