The All-Russian anti-doping center in Moscow, which is suspected of falsifications of doping industry, stopped working. It is reported by Interfax .
“I have to say that the laboratory has really suspended its activities. The Russian anti -doping agency fully complies with the requirements of the Code of the World Anti -Doping Agency, ”said Nikita Kamaev, executive director of the Russian anti -doping agency.
Meanwhile, the World Anti -Doping Agency (Vada) said that the laboratory accreditation was suspended for six months.
On November 9, Wada published a report stating that the Ministry of Sports and the FSB intervened in the anti -doping center. From the report it followed that the laboratory destroyed doping tests by orders of departments, as well as for bribes given by athletes. The report also mentioned the presence of the second laboratory, where the samples took place initial analysis. Kamaev also stated that the second laboratory does not exist, since this is “technologically impossible” due to the difficulty of maintaining its activities.
In the Ministry of Sports, they promised to provide an official response to the report during the day on November 10, while reminding it of the authors about the need to distinguish “real facts” from “journalistic information”. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called the report “unfounded”, demanding to present evidence of the incidents described there.
In case of confirmation of information from the report of the Russian national team, disqualification at international competitions, including at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, may threaten.
