Alexander Kostenko, convicted in Simferopol for harming a Berkut fighter on the Maidan and illegal possession of weapons, was found in correctional colony No. 5 of the Kirov region in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk. Prior to that, for a long time, his relatives and the lawyer did not know about his whereabouts. Lawyer Dmitry Sotnikov told the publication “Crimea. Realii” that he himself called the colony, where he was informed that Kostenko was there.
Kostenko was sentenced to three years and eleven months in prison. He reported that after his detention in Crimea, he was tortured by FSB officers, and then he was pressured by cellmates in the pre-trial detention center.
