Earlier on November 11, the Russian Olympic Committee in its statement supported the requirement of the International Olympic Committee on the punishment of athletes applying doping. “Anyone who is convicted of the use of forbidden drugs, as well as contributing to their use in one way or another, is subject to disqualification,” the document said. “If the wine is proved, the decisions must be as rigid as possible.”

Mutko, in turn, announced the possibility of tightening administrative responsibility for the use of doping. He also did not exclude the introduction of criminal liability for this.
