2005. The murder of Timur Kacharava

Ten years ago, on November 13, 2005, Timur Vladimirovich Kacharava was killed in St. Petersburg - an anti -fascist, musician, student of the Faculty of Philosophy of St. Petersburg State University. He received six stab wounds in the neck, from which he died. The attackers shouted: "Anti -anth!"

Kacharava was one of the organizers of the "Food instead of bombs", whose participants prepared food for the homeless and fed them on Vladimir Square. In this regard, he received threats from neo -Nazis.

In December 2005, the attack participants were arrested. On August 7, 2007, four of them were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, three received conditional terms. The death wounds, Alexander Shabalin, was sentenced to 12 years old. All attackers were found guilty of exciting national, racial or religious enmity. However, the organizer of the attack, whose name was not disclosed, was not arrested. He was put on the federal wanted list.
