On November 16, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of Orenburg found Aleksey Gubantsov, coordinator of a local protest against the introduction of tolls for trucks on federal highways, guilty of organizing an uncoordinated event and fined him 10,000 rubles. This was reported by Interfax-Provolzhye with reference to a representative of the court.
The second administrative case, initiated against Gubantsov simultaneously with the first, on violation of the procedure for holding an event that prevented the movement of vehicles (under the third part of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), was terminated due to the lack of corpus delicti.
Meanwhile, according to the Orenburg regional news agency, on November 9 Gubantsov filed a notice with the regional prosecutor's office about holding an event on the side of the road. In response, the next day, the prosecutor's office issued him a warning about the inadmissibility of holding an action on the roadway and interfering with motorists.
The action in the suburbs of Orenburg took place on November 11, simultaneously with the protests of truckers in other regions. According to the estimates of the Orenburg police, about 70 trucks were simultaneously parked on both sides of the Zagorodnoye Highway. The action lasted from 11 am to 12 pm local time.
