
The Commissioner for Human Rights, Ella Pamfilova, sent an official appeal to the director of the FSIN Gennady Kornienko on the need to provide urgent medical care to a serving sentence in the "postal case" Oleg Navalny, according to the Ombudsman website. On the recommendation of a specialist doctor, he needs an urgent surgical dental operation in the hospital.
Navalny’s lawyer Kirill Polozov confirmed RBC that his client was required surgical assistance. "He was diagnosed with a cyst of the maxillary sinus, and it needs to be removed," the lawyer said. However, the FSIN leadership refuses to conduct an operation in a civil hospital and intends to transfer Navalny from the Oryol region to a colony in St. Petersburg, where there is an opportunity to operate on.
In addition, Pamfilova sent an appeal to the prosecutor's office about the need to carefully verify the legitimacy of Navalny’s placement in the penalty and legality of a number of other disciplinary sanctions, including tightening the conditions of detention after leaving the schizo.
Pamfilova also questioned the validity of the incomplete penalties imposed on Leonid Razvozzhaev and Sergey Udaltsov, convicted of “mass riots”. The message notes that as a result of the actions of the Ombudsman, it was possible to resolve a number of problems, including the question of a specialized medical examination of Razvozhaev.
“The presence of convicts in far from always justified multiple disciplinary sanctions may further become a serious obstacle to the court of question of parole, despite the decision of the Supreme Court that the convict’s penalty for violation of the rules of the colony cannot be the reason for refusing him too,” Pamfilova notes.
Navalny was convicted of "postal business" for three and a half years in prison. In August, the administration of the Oryol IK -5 placed it for 15 days in a schizo - as stated, for sleeping on Sunday afternoon.
On October 19, the New Times magazine was a column of Navalny's Potemkin Prison, dedicated to life in IK-5. On the same day, it became known that the prisoner was sent to a schizo for 15 days. The next day, the colony administration decided to transfer Navalny Jr. to withdraw from the schizo to a detachment of strict conditions for serving a sentence (ISUON).
On the morning of October 30, Navalny was released from the penalty insulator before the court consideration of a complaint against this punishment. But by dinner, the colony administration brought him a new penalty and again placed in a schizo for 15 days .
On July 24, 2014, the judge of the Moscow City Court Alexander Zamashnyuk sentenced Udaltsov and Razvozhaev to four and a half years of the general regime of each for the organization of "riots" on May 6, 2012 on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow (
