According to the consulting center "Petersburg Real Estate", the sales volume of new buildings in the third quarter of 2015 coincided with last year's figure. At the same time, in the current year in July - September, 27.4% more were sold than in the period from April to June. In the third quarter, more than 23 thousand transactions were concluded for the purchase of apartments in new buildings.

The consulting center "Petersburg Real Estate" summed up the results of the third quarter of 2015 in the primary market of St. Petersburg and the suburban area of the Leningrad region. “The most striking trend in the third quarter of 2015 was a significant increase (by 27.4%) in the volume of sales of housing under construction compared to the second quarter of 2015,” says Olga Trosheva, head of the St. Petersburg Real Estate consulting center. “Based on the results of three quarters of 2015 In 2013, 2.62 million square meters of housing were sold, which amounts to 60 thousand apartments in new buildings. The indicator is at the level of the calm year 2013.”

The maximum increase in demand compared to the previous period was recorded in St. Petersburg - 34%, a slightly smaller increase (18%) was noted in the suburban area of the Leningrad region.

Analysis of the demand structure indicates a continuation of the market consolidation trend. The top 10 large development companies - leaders in sales volumes of new buildings - increased their combined sales volume by 47% compared to the previous quarter. The remaining developers collectively sold only 6% more than in the previous period. The share of leading developers in total sales reached 60% compared to 54% in the last quarter.
