In Moscow and St. Petersburg, in December 2015, the Artdokfest documentary film festival will be held. Festival President Vitaly Mansky tells at Medusa about films from the competition, as well as the most interesting paintings from parallel programs. This time, the director is presented by the film "Twin" Valentina Tkach (Russia, 2015) from the program "Wednesday".

“Twin” is a film from the program “Wednesday”, the second according to the status at the festival. This is not a competitive program, but getting into it is very difficult and prestigious. This year, 55 films are included in it, which was never at Artdokfest. And I can confidently say that outside the program there were still paintings that we would like to show - just could no longer afford to expand it.

The film "Twin" - how to approach him more correctly? Imagine a classic Indian film with an Indian plot about two twins, where one becomes a rich man and the other is poor. Then, one of them falls in love with a beauty, who at some point accidentally confuses them and leaves one twin to another. When they learn this, blood enmity arises, their life paths diverge - they cannot communicate with each other and communicate only through the film whose heroes are.

This is how the plot of our film about two twins, absolute copies of each other, also looks like. One is the composer of the most famous Moscow musicals, the other is the restorer of icon painting in the province. They broke up forever, because the wife of one went to another - and now they communicate with the help of the director’s camera. I really advise you to see, this is fantastic.
