Drivers, striking in Dagestan, intend to move to Moscow on November 30. Their trucks stand along the Rostov-Baku highway for the fifth day, and the protesters are becoming more and more. Drivers from other regions who came to the south of Russia with a load joined the Dagestan truckers. In particular, among the protesters there are Chechens who are prohibited from rally inside the republic.
Many trucks hang posters: “Hands away from long -range!”, “Stop robbing the people!”, “Rotenberg is worse than ISIS” ( the organization is prohibited in Russia ), “Russia without Rotenbergs”. These posters are addressed to the son of businessman Arkady Rotenberg Igor, who helps the state "Rostec" to take money from truckers through the Plato system.
Protesters demand that their action be told on television, but journalists do not come to them. They also want representatives of the authorities to come to them, but they do not answer yet. But in the most “hot spots” riot police are on duty on the highway. Every day, law enforcement agencies are delayed from a dozen people, to whom the courts write out an administrative fine or sentenced to 10 days.
The material was prepared by the special correspondent of Novaya Gazeta Irina Gordienko.
“We have been bastling for the fifth day. About 300 wagons with a persimmon have accumulated on the border with Azerbaijan, now is the season of this fruit, ”one of the striking explains to me. - 300 wagons are 900 trucks that we had to put on Russian markets. Instead, the goods are spoiled. Look at how much the price for persimmons will take off now. ”
