Awarded the Dragomoshchenko Award

On Sunday, November 22, at the European University in St. Petersburg, an Arkady Dragmoshchenko poetic award ceremony was held for young authors writing in Russian. The laureate of the award was Alexander Tsibul (Petersburg).

According to the website of the Cultural Initiative project, it received 70 thousand rubles and the opportunity to publish her book in the series “New Poems” of the publishing house “The Order of Words”.

The award was awarded to the laureate by the special guest of the award, the American poet Michael Palmer, the laureate of the Prize Wallace Stevens (2006), established by the Academy of American poets and awarded for outstanding achievements in poetry.

Two other finalists , Stanislav Snytko (Petersburg) and Nikita Sungatov (Moscow), are marked with incentive prizes of 20 thousand rubles.

The laureate was determined according to the results of open debate with the participation of the jury of the prize - Alexander Skidan (chairman of the jury), Anatoly Barzakh, Anna Glazova, Sergey Zavyalova, Elena Kostyleva and Nikita Safonov ( last year laureate , as well as nominators, finalists and members of the Prize of the Board of Trustees.

The Award Arkady Dragomoshchenko was established in 2014 by an independent bookstore of intellectual literature “The Word Order” and annually is awarded to poets whose age at the time of nomination does not exceed 27 years.
