Activists of the Unity of Equals movement hung the flags of Ukraine on the high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment in Moscow to mark the anniversary of the beginning of the events on the Kiev Maidan, OVD-Info reports .
It is reported that five people hung the flags of Ukraine and the Unity of Equals movement on the scaffolding around the high-rise building. The police detained three protesters: Alexey Domnikov, Alexander Sharapov and an activist named Alexander. They were taken to the Tagansky police station.
The action was timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the start of protests on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv. Then the rally participants took to the square demanding that an association agreement be signed between Ukraine and the European Union.
Last August, the golden star on the spire of the Stalinist high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment was half painted blue, and the Ukrainian flag was hung on the building. Later, the police detained four base jumpers, who were acquitted by the court in September this year. Let us remind you that literally a day after the action, Ukrainian roofer Grisha Mustang published photographs on the Internet from the spire of a high-rise building as proof that he painted the star, and not the detained young people.
