According to the official portal of the mayor and the Moscow government , the bronze monument of the sculptor Georgy Frangulian is planned to be installed with the funds of the P.I. Tchaikovsky.
According to Frankulyan, the weight of the monument will be one and a half to two tons, the alleged height is one and a half human height. The figure of Bulgakov will be installed on a stucco pedestal in the form of manuscripts. “He will be in a coat, under a coat - a suit, in his hands - a hat. In his teeth - cigarette, ”the sculptor explained.
The date of installation of the monument has not yet been determined. “The meeting of the commission is the stage of preliminary selection of the architectural concept, after which the art council is still taking place, and according to the results, the administrative document of the mayor of Moscow is issued, which will determine all the settings, including the deadlines,” the Moscow cultural heritage department explained.
In October 2015, at a meeting, the Moscow government decided that the square located next to the Patriarchal ponds at the intersection of Spiridonyevsky and Bolshoi Kozikhinsky lanes will bear the name of Mikhail Bulgakov. On May 15, 2016, the 125th anniversary of the writer's birthday will be celebrated.
