Cultural projects within the framework of the Year of Turkey in Russia and the Year of Russia in Turkey will be cancelled. Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, announced this. “In principle, talking about cultural cooperation with Turkey after the tragic death of our pilots is tactless,” he said.

“We had various kinds of projects, cultural, interesting, but after the step taken by the Turkish leadership, which did not want to make the necessary apologies, it is pointless to talk about the future of these projects,” Shvydkoy said.
