Meeting of the Minister with truckers: Protesters declare provocation

Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov holds a meeting in St. Petersburg with representatives of truckers dissatisfied with the introduction of road training. According to Echo of Moscow, the meeting began at noon in closed mode, only the filming group of Channel One was launched on it.

Radical truckers say that the negotiators are not authorized by anyone. At the Moskovsky Center on Moskovsky Prospekt, where a meeting with the Minister takes place, about 50 indignant drivers gathered, who were not allowed into the building, reports Fontanka.

“Tomorrow is a provocation, during which supposedly representatives of truckers will meet with the Minister of Transport, who do not have the powers from the general meeting of truckers to conduct negotiations,” the decree of the meeting of drivers, which took place on Friday in the St. Petersburg office of the Communist Party of the Communist Party.

According to Fontanka, the meeting with the Minister was organized with the participation of the head of the Gruzavtotrans NP Vladimir Matyagin. He was kicked out of the asset with a scandal, after which Matyan held his own meeting to nominate the candidates of the negotiators. Then this list was approved in the Ministry of Transport. According to Matyagin, there are 15 truckers from St. Petersburg and 10 of other regions, including from Dagestan. According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport, 40 delegates came to the meeting.

According to Fontanka, Matyagin supporters propose to introduce a temporary moratorium on the collection of road collection in order to correct the shortcomings of the Plato system. However, retirement participants require a complete abolition of road training. They are going to protest on November 30, regardless of the results of the meeting with the Minister. Hundreds of truckers from different regions intend to take part in the "campaign in Moscow". They threaten to arrange a transport collapse in the capital.

The Plato system has earned since November 15. Trucks weighing more than 12 tons must pay for travel along federal routes. About half of the Russian car carriers registered in the system.
