The head of the Turkish choir, Mikhail Turkish, was about to discuss the issue of changing the name of the team in connection with the crisis in the relations of Russia with Turkey. Moreover, Turkish suggested that he should change his name.

According to Turkish, he realized that he had a “problem surname”, a few years ago at a concert in Yerevan. “For a very long time we drowned the ice of no confidence and set up the bridges of friendship,” he said.

Turkish also explained that his last name has nothing to do with Turkey. According to the head of the choir, it comes from the name of the Polish town of Turkish, where his ancestors lived.
