In Usolye-Siberian, the protesters demanded the resignation of the mayor of the city

According to various estimates, from 600 to 700 residents of the city gathered for a protest.

In the Irkutsk region, residents of the city of Usolye-Sibirsky demand the resignation of the mayor of Lyubov Fox and the dissolution of the Duma. They dedicated this to the rally that took place in the city center.

According to Radio Liberty, Ekaterina Vertinskaya, from the protest, according to various estimates, from 600 to 700 Usol residents gathered. The rally participants said that they were assessing the situation in the city of Usol-Sibirsky as critical, and the activities of the mayor of Lyubov Fox as anti-people.

The Usol residents stood with the slogans: “The mayor is resigned!”, “Mayor, do not destroy education in the city!”, “Let officials feed their children for 15 rubles.” The last slogan refers to the fact that children from low -income families, about three thousand people, are fed in schools for 15 rubles a day, this money comes to the city from the regional budget, and the local government does not allocate a penny for these purposes.

The destruction of the economy, the demographic disaster, the colossal outflow of the population over the past three years, the environmental danger, bureaucratic crimes, the inaction of law enforcement agencies, the attempt to eliminate higher education, the transfer of the hospital into the first category, inaction in the issue of the revival of the municipal morgue, the embezzlement, the artificially created lobby of the deduced deputies in the City Duma as opposed to the unexplored In all this, the townspeople are accused by the authorities of Usolye-Siberian.

During the rally, the Usol residents said that the Usolye-Sibirsky leads by the number of patients with tuberculosis and HIV, but out of seventy programs that the government of the Irkutsk region implements to prevent these diseases, the utility authorities participate in only three. So, officials do not work out their very high wages, which is ten times higher than the average in the city - the townspeople came to this conclusion.

According to the results of the protest, the audience unanimously voted for the adoption of the resolution. The main requirement of the Usol residents - within 30 calendar days, the mayor of the city, Lyis Lis must resign. During the rally, the draft resolution was supplemented by another point - "For the dissolution of the Duma", as many residents spoke about this during the protest.

The resolution was sent to the governor to the government of the Irkutsk region.

Even before the rally, for several weeks, activists collected signatures for the resignation of the mayor of Lyubov Fox. More than six thousand citizens signed under the document.

Usolye-Sibirskoye is one of the single-industry towns of the Irkutsk region. After the closure of large chemical enterprises, hundreds of Usol residents were left without work.
