
The Russian government can publish a list of Turkish goods on Monday, which in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is an ban on importing to Russia, Interfax reports with reference to a source in the financial and economic block of the government.
At the same time, another interlocutor of the agency, familiar with the preparation of the document, said that by now the work on the list is still being carried out, it has not yet been defined. He also emphasized that not only food products can fall under the effect of Russian sanctions. It was previously noted that the ban will not be valid for goods imported for personal use in a limited volume
On Saturday evening, Putin’s decree on special economic measures against Turkey was published on the Kremlin’s website. The document, in particular, prohibits Russian companies to hire Turkish citizens, limits the activities of companies from this country in the Russian Federation, prohibits charter air transportation between Russia and Turkey, and also enhances control of the transport security of the waters of Russian sea ports in the Black Sea basin.
Ankara said that Putin introduced by the sanctions will even more spoil the relationship between states. “Sanctions like these are harmful to relations. These steps do not solve anything, only exacerbate the problem,” the agency’s interlocutor said. Previously, the media estimated the volume of potential losses from turning cooperation of more than $ 40 billion.
The aggravation of relations between states began after the Russian Su-24 was shot down in the area of the Border of Syria and Turkey on November 24. Both pilots were baptized, but the rebels fired in the air. Aircraft commander Lieutenant Colonel Oleg Peshkov died. Morpekh Alexander Pozinich, a member of the group aircraft, also died. These are the first officially recognized loss of the Russian Federation in Syria.
According to Ankara, the F-16 fighter shot down the Su-24 after he allegedly violated the country's airspace in the border with Syria and did not respond to warnings. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation claim that the plane flew strictly in the airspace of Syria.
