In Dagestan, 40 protesting truck drivers were detained to give explanations

According to the "Caucasian Knot" , about 40 protesting truckers were detained in Dagestan - in Khasavyurt and Manas and taken to the police station to give explanations and sign documents on responsibility for violating the law on rallies. This was stated by the participants themselves. At the same time, a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan told the publication that no arrests of truckers were made.

“According to my information, 40-50 people have already been delivered to Khasavyurt. In Manas - a little less. Everyone is forced to sign a paper that we will not go on strike. They are afraid that we will go to Moscow, hold a strike on the Moscow Ring Road. They think this will stop the strike. Well, even if they stop, then what? We are all potential unemployed! I have four children at home, where will I go if I lose my job?” — said the participant of the action on condition of anonymity.

“They made me write an explanatory note. Those whose surname and name appeared in the press were generally told that they would be attracted as organizers. They kept me for three hours and forced me to sign a protocol warning about the inadmissibility of violating the law “On meetings, rallies and demonstrations”.

As another participant of the action said, from Manas towards Kochubey a new point of strike of truckers was formed, where on November 28 the first 200 cars stood up, which were not allowed to pass at the traffic police post with Kalmykia. “Today there are already 400 cars there, no less. Only loaded trucks are allowed through the checkpoint, and all empty ones are turned back,” he said.

According to a participant in the action, who introduced himself as Magomed, the drivers are ready to go to Moscow, but since they are not allowed to go empty, they plan to take the goods, load them. According to him, OMON military equipment drove towards Kochubey, in his opinion, they can start to disperse.
