Eldar Ryazanov died

Today, November 30, filmmaker Eldar Ryazanov died in Moscow at the age of 88.

This was reported by TASS with reference to the director’s family.

Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov was born in 1927 in Samara, studied at VGIK with Grigory Kozintsev, since 1950 he worked at the Central Studio of Documentary Films, in 1955 he became the director of the Mosfilm film studio and set up the first Soviet wide-screen film “Spring Voices” with Sergey Gurov.

Ryazanov, the comedy “Carnival Night” (1956), had a huge success. She was followed by a “girl without address” (1957), “Hussar ballad” (1962), “Give a complaint book” (1964), “Beware of a car” (1966), “Zigzag of Good luck” (1968), “Old Rights” (1971), “Incredible adventures of Italians in Russia” (1973).

The two -part television film "The irony of fate, or with a slight steam!" (1975) became one of the most popular films in the history of domestic cinema. Every New Year is shown by many Russian television channels.

Also among the films of the director “Office Roman” (1977), “Garage” (1979), “Apply a word about the poor hussar” (1980), “Station for two” (1982), “Cruel Romance” (1984), “Forgotten Melody for the Flute” (1987) and others.

In addition, Ryazanov starred in episodic roles (as a rule, in his own films), wrote movie scenaries, books, plays, taught at the highest courses scriptwriters and directors, conducted the film Panorama (1979–1986) and other programs.

PS Farewell to Eldar Ryazanov will take place on December 3 in the Central House of Writers, the funeral will take place on the same day at the Novodevichy cemetery, TASS reports.
