Eldar Ryazanov died

In Moscow, at the 89th year of his life, film director Eldar Ryazanov died. According to RIA Novosti, this was announced by his grandson Dmitry Trojanovsky.

Over the past year, Ryazanov has repeatedly been hospitalized. In November last year, the director was delivered to the Burdenko Research Institute in serious condition, from where he was discharged in January 2015. In August 2015, Ryazanov got to the hospital in the center of Bakulev. It was reported that he had a heart attack, but relatives denied this information. In September and October, Ryazanov underwent planned treatment. On November 21, a message appeared that Ryazanov was again hospitalized for examination in one of the Moscow clinics.

Ryazanov was born on November 18, 1927 in Samara in a family of employees of the Soviet trade mission in Tehran Alexander Semenovich Ryazanov and Sofia Mikhailovna Shusterman. Soon the family moved to Moscow. In 1950, Ryazanov graduated from VGIK, defending himself with a documentary tape "They Study in Moscow". For 5 years, Ryazanov worked in documentary cinema at the central studio of documentaries. Filting the cinema for the movie magazines "Pioneer", "Soviet Sport", "News of the Day".

In 1955, Ryazanov became the director of the Mosfilm film studio and set up the first Soviet broad-screen film-Revee Voices. In 1956, he graduated from the film "Carnival Night". In total, During his career, Ryazanov shot about 25 films.

In 1979-1985, Ryazanov worked as a leading television program of Kinopanorama. In addition, he created more than 200 copyright television programs.

In 2002, Ryazanov became the president of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts "Nick". Ryazanov also taught at the highest courses scriptwriters and directors. Among his students are directors Yuri Mamin, Ivan Dykhovichny and others.

In March 2014, Ryazanov signed a letter from the Russian "Union of Cinematographers and Professional Cinematographic Organizations and Associations" to his colleagues from Ukraine, condemning the "Russian military intervention." Also, in March 2014, he signed an appeal from the initiative group for the Congress of the intelligentsia "against the war, against the restoration of totalitarianism."
