The film company Central Partnership (CPS), part of Gazprom Media, demands that the TV Show company, directed and produced by Alexei Uchitel, be declared bankrupt. According to TsPSh, the company did not fulfill its obligations regarding the film “The Edge”, released back in 2010, and remained in debt to the distribution division of TsPSh almost 30 million rubles.

The Moscow Arbitration Court registered the application of Central Partnership Sales House LLC (the film distribution division of TsPSh) about the bankruptcy of Teleshow LLC, until December 18 it was left without action, it follows from the court database. Since May 2014, the sole founder of “Teleshow,” according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, has been film director and producer Alexey Uchitel.

The TsPSh explained that the bankruptcy application was related to the failure of “Teleshow” to fulfill its obligations for the film “The Edge”, the distributor of which was the plaintiff: earlier the court decided to recover 29.36 million rubles from the producer. “debt on the listed advance” and another 170 thousand rubles. towards reimbursement of expenses for payment of state duty. The rental company filed a claim for recovery back in July 2014. The case materials indicate that the Teleshow company received an advance of 80 million rubles from TsPSh. At the same time, the amount of royalty that was due to “Teleshow” from TsPSh for the distribution of the film did not cover this advance: as a result, the production company owed the distributor 29.36 million rubles.

“On our part, we did everything possible to resolve the conflict, including through numerous negotiations. We are always ready to resolve conflicts with partners outside of court, but this presupposes, first of all, a mutual willingness to compromise, which we did not see from the “TV Show” side.” , - told Kommersant in the press service of the TsPSh. It was not possible to get an answer from representatives of Alexei Uchitel: the phone at “Teleshow” did not answer, and another company of the director TPO ROK did not respond to Kommersant’s written request.

The film "The Edge" was released in 2010, the film collected 159 million rubles in cinemas. with a budget of $12 million (about 349.8 million rubles). Alexey Uchitel, in an interview with Vedomosti, then called the distribution results a “great success,” noting that the film was also sold abroad and received “very good money for DVD.” “The Edge” was filmed with the support of Russian Railways, and was co-produced by Alexander Maksimov and General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst. Russian Railways explained their participation in the project by saying that the film was “close in spirit” to the employees of the state monopoly. “For us, the film is important primarily because its main character has a real passion for trains. Among the owners of "Teleshow" were previously listed TVA LLC (founders of Media Asset LLC and Avangard Advertising Agency LLC), Media Partner LLC (part of Grigory Berezkin's ESN group and cooperates with Russian Railways), Premier Film CJSC "(controlled by the Vagrius Publishing House of Gleb Uspensky) and producer Alexander Maksimov. The company was registered in 1995, the last financial report in the SPARK-Interfax database is dated 2009, then the net profit of Teleshow amounted to 247 thousand rubles, revenue - 315 million rubles.

As Kommersant previously wrote, TsPSh recently initiated another bankruptcy case, trying to recover 10.3 million rubles. from the film distributor "Vest". According to Film Business Today, this year the Central Film Theater accounts for 12% of all film box office receipts in Russia and the CIS, excluding Ukraine.
