In the Sverdlovsk region, a criminal case has been opened against a resident of Nevyansk, who killed the mother of his partner with a nail puller and hid her body in a closet under bags of clothes. This was reported on Monday, November 30, on the website of the regional Investigative Committee.
The body of a resident of Nevyansk, born in 1974, with an open head injury was found in an apartment on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street on November 11, 2015. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case of murder (Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code). Investigators and police identified and detained a 20-year-old local resident, who had no previous convictions and was officially unemployed.
The investigation established that the detainee was the live-in partner of the daughter of the murdered woman. While intoxicated, they quarreled when the girl was not at home. During the quarrel, the detainee hit the woman on the head several times with a nail puller, causing her death. He hid her body in a closet, covering up traces of blood. He told his partner that her mother had left with some man.
Three days later, the daughter of the murdered woman reported her mother missing to law enforcement agencies. Her body was found while searching the closet under bags of clothes, after which the man confessed to his crime. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of arrest. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
