Opposition protests began in Yerevan against the constitutional reform.
The action began at about 18:00 local time (19:00 Moscow time) with a rally on Freedom Square, which grew into a procession through the central streets of Yerevan. After that, the activists returned to Freedom Square and announced the start of a round-the-clock rally. During the rally, two activists were detained . Soon they were released .
During the procession, the opposition went to the office of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, but were stopped by the police. After the police tried to remove a car with loudspeakers from the street, a clash broke out between them and the activists. In the future, the parties agreed that the car would leave for Freedom Square.
According to the organizers of the rally, the activists will stay around the clock and "sleep in shifts", reports News.am . Earlier, the Yerevan Municipality banned the erection of tents on Freedom Square, arguing that there was a risk of damaging the city monument, reports . Radio Azatutyun
