Mufti Gainutdin stands for finding a compromise in relations between Russia and Turkey

Ravil Gainutdin, chairman of the Council of the Russian Council of Russia (SMR), is convinced that, in the context of an exacerbation of Russian-Turkish relations, it is necessary to maintain and develop humanitarian ties between the peoples of the two countries. He spoke about this in a conversation held on Wednesday with reporters in Moscow.

“We will develop our human relations (with Turkey), the relations of good people. The common people should not suffer - neither Russian nor Turkish,” the Words of Mufti quoted the Interfax -religion portal.

He reminded the eastern wisdom that "we must be friends with neighbors."

“Today we should not lose those achievements (in relations between Russia and Turkey. - Approx. Ed. ), Which were built with such difficulty in two decades. He said that the Muftiev Council continues to maintain relations with the Ministry of Religions of Turkey, with which a protocol on mutual understanding and cooperation was previously signed.

He also criticized Europe for sanctions, creating the conditions of "not only economic blockade, but also the political, information war against our country."

“Those who are interested in economically weaken, destroy, dismember our country, have not calmed down. They do not need strong Russia. As soon as Russia begins to be friends with someone, they immediately turn those that they are against us,” Gainutdin said.

He intends to prepare his proposal to the Russian authorities on the issue of resolving the conflict of Russia and Turkey.

Mufti did not comment on the incident with the Russian Su-24 aircraft shot down by Turkey. "We, not being politicians, considered that we would not give an assessment, comment, because we do not know why this happened. We are religious figures," the Islamic leader emphasized.
