The Constitutional Court of Tatarstan demanded the creation of a list of agreed actions

The Constitutional Court of Tatarstan recommended obliging officials to publish information about upcoming public events on the Internet, so that the organizers would know about other actions even before notification. As Kommersant Kazan writes on December 2, this is stated in the court decision on a complaint against amendments made to the regional law on rallies in 2012.

The applicant, deputy chairman of the All-Tatar Public Center Galishan Nuriakhmet, stated in the complaint that in six months his organization received more than 40 refusals to coordinate events. As a rule, officials referred to the fact that another event was already planned at the same time at the indicated site.

The lack of a procedure for “familiarization of the organizers of public events with previously submitted notifications” was considered by the applicant to be a violation of his constitutional rights.
