Project "Medication". Part One

In November 2015, the International Interdisciplinary Project “Medical District” began in the HCSI, the Swiss - artist Alexander Zholi, artist and curator Roger Burgel, philosopher and culturalist Vladimir Velminsky, took part in it.

The name “human destiny” refers to the book of the same name by Hannah Arendt, who was looking for the answer to the question “how to be and remain a person in the face of the drama of history”. The idea of ​​the project is based on the assumption that a person and his place in the world today again become one of the central cultural problems. The research participants will be devoted to this from more than 50 countries - artists, poets, philosophers, and artorists. The “human destiny” project will develop for four years and consist of seven sessions.

The first session of the project It is called the “Human Borders” (November 26, 2015-January 31, 2016), in the program-symposium, exhibition, lectures, discussions, master classes.

Rogger Burgel-the souvenrator of Documenta 12 and the founder of the Museum of Coffee Culture, Johan Jacobs-gave a lecture on curatorial, cultural scientist Vladimir Velminsky from Zurich made a report on mediation structures.

Within the framework of the project, the exhibition “Selective” is held, in which the Swiss artist Alexander Zholi takes part. It works with plastic materials and shapes, sound and image, creating “sound landscapes”. His composition at the exhibition is called the "Big Ceremony."
