New Horizons sent a Pluto photo from a minimum distance

Five months ago, the American probe "New Horizons" reached Pluto and Haron after a flight that lasted 9 and a half years old

The American probe Horizons probe ("New Horizons") handed over photographs taken from a minimum distance to the Earth, which he became close to Pluto's planet. This was reported on the official website of NASA.

The resolution of the photos is about 80 meters per pixel.

NASA agency has prepared a special video that shows which part of Pluto is shown in the pictures.

Five months ago, the first glance of mankind at the planet Pluto showed the ice mountains that exist on it, as high as the rocky mountains in the USA, as well as the gorges on the planet Haron, the satellite of Pluto, its analogue of the earth's moon, which look deeper than similar natural phenomena on Earth.

The absence of craters on the dwarf planet was especially amazing for scientists, which was reflected in the pictures of the NASA Spacecraft "New Horizons" made on July 14. Suddenly it turned out that the planet Pluto is geologically active and is formed not by external forces, but by internal geological activity that secrete heat.
