The Islamic State took responsibility for the terrorist attack in the Yemeni city of Aden, reports Reuters. The suicide bomber in a mined car crashed into a motorcade of Governor Jafar Saad. As a result of the explosion, the official and six of his bodyguards were killed. Several people are injured.

Earlier it was mistakenly reported that they shot from a grenade launcher at the motorcade.

On the eve of Aden, a senior officer of the Yemeni Army and a judge, who was presiding in the process of the explosion of the American destroyer Cole, were killed.

In a report on the explosion in Aden, IG threatened with new terrorist attacks against the "main Yemenic apostates." Earlier, IS militants arranged a series of terrorist attacks in the capital of Yemen Sanya.
