Protesting truckers agreed to create a new trade union, which should unite representatives of at least 58 regions of Russia. The decision was made at a meeting in the camp on the Kashirsky highway near Moscow, RBC reports .
At a press conference, representatives of truckers announced the creation of a new independent structure. It will defend the interests of drivers, and not only on the problem of the Plato road collection system. The new association will become an alternative to the interregional trade union of professional drivers. Its leader Alexander Kotov repeatedly called on truckers not to rush with protest actions.
Truckers are ready to interact with other structures, including political parties. At the same time, they emphasized that their protest is not political, but economic. “We do not support any parties. If we put a policy into our ranks, it will be a failure,” said the representative of the truckers.
Drivers invited Valentin Matvienko to the dialogue of the Chairman of the Federation Council. The day before, she called the decisions on the fines for truckers a big mistake of the authorities and called for talking with "hard workers, hard workers."
Truckers also decided on the leaders who will negotiate with the authorities on behalf of the drivers of four regions: Orenburg, Dagestan, Volgograd and St. Petersburg.
After the press conference, eight trucks gathered at the 94th kilometer of the M4 Don highway to hold the Snail campaign against the Plato system, the Rain television channel reports . Truckers occupied the right lane on a two -lane road, as a result of which a mash formed.
The introduction of the fee and the Platon system caused protests throughout the country. Last week, despite the opposition of the police, the participants of the planned "campaign to Moscow" were able to get to the capital. On the evening of December 2, a coordination council was held, on which an action plan was developed. The drivers made the final decision on holding the action the next day, after Vladimir Putin’s appeal to the Federal Assembly, in which the president did not mention the truckers.
By the night of December 3, the truckers' drivers focused on the near approaches to the capital to hold a protest. On the Leningrad highway, they gathered in the area of Zelenograd ( 
The second camp truckers, mainly from regions south of Moscow, organized on the Kashirskoye highway. Participants in the action do not intend to leave their camps before the cancellation of the Plato system. Muscovites supply protesters, medicines and other necessary items.
