The artist Vadim Voinov died

Today, December 11, at the age of 75, the St. Petersburg artist and art critic Vadim Voinov died.

Vadim Serafimovich of the soldiers was born in 1940 in Leningrad, in the late 40s his father was repressed in the "Leningrad case", the family of Soslan.

Returning from the exile, in the 1960s Vadim Voinov worked as a sailor, in 1969 he entered the LSU at the History Faculty, also studied at the Department of Art History, where he defended his diploma in 1976. He was engaged in the architecture of early Petersburg, published articles, went to archaeological expeditions, from 1972 to 1993 he worked at the State Museum of the History of Leningrad-Petersburg.

In the late 1970s, Vadim Voinov developed his own method for laying out various objects in one composition, “functional collage”. Since 1983, he participated in all exhibitions of the Partnership of experimental art and in numerous group exhibitions in Russia and abroad, in 1994 he founded the first Bridge Gallery in St. Petersburg.

In 1988, the first personal exhibition of the artist at the State Russian Museum was held. In 2011, an exhibition “Fabula of the Object” was held at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art.

The works of Vadim Voinov are stored in the State Hermitage, the State Russian Museum and other Russian and foreign museums and private meetings.
