Vladimir Putin dismissed the deputy director of the FSO - the head of the Security Service of President Oleg Klimentyev and appointed a certain Dmitry Kochnev in his place. This was reported by Izvestia with reference to sources in the presidential administration and FSO. The officially corresponding decree, however, has not been published.

Klimentyev, stated, became the first deputy director of the FSO.

The Security Service of President Klimentyev, who then had the title of Colonel, headed in September 2013. He was appointed to the place of Viktor Zolotov, who became the deputy commander of the internal troops (now - Commander -in -Chief of BB). Kochnev’s official biography on the Kremlin’s website or the FSO website has not been published.

The director of the FSO is the 70-year-old Army General Yevgeny Murov, the old acquaintance of Putin. He was appointed to this post in May 2000, that is, immediately after Putin’s inauguration for the first presidential term. In the summer of 2014 , information appeared in the media about the ambulance Murov . At the same time, it was stated with certainty that the deputy director of the FSO - head of special communications, Lieutenant General Alexei Mironov, will be appointed in his place. Nevertheless, Murov did not resign.

Now, according to Izvestia, the presidential administration is again talking about Murov’s resignation, and Klimentiev’s candidacy is being discussed for the role of his successor.
