Alexey Navalny was stopped in his car and soon released

Opposition leader Alexei Navalny was detained in the Moscow district of Maryino. “I was detained by the police in Maryino in a car. They demand explanations why we photographed the dachas of Deputy Prosecutor General Lopatin today in Malakhovka,” he wrote on Twitter.

Later, he clarified that the traffic police officers stopped his car and told him: “Now we will get through and they will tell us how to decide your fate.” He was required to write an explanatory note about what he was doing in Malakhovka near Moscow. Then, as Navalny writes, after a call from "the authorities", he was released, but warned that "the car is now in orientation and will slow down everywhere."
