Center “E” was looking for journalist Alexander Ryklin

Police officers, including operatives of the Center for Combating Extremism, spent December 13 looking for the editor-in-chief of the Daily Journal, Alexander Ryklin, who was detained the day before on Pushkinskaya Square. Activist Ilya Yashin talks about this on Facebook. According to him, “they came to Ryklin’s home, interviewed relatives, showed the photograph to neighbors, and tried to establish his whereabouts.” Ryklin's associates fear that the journalist may be subject to administrative arrest. In addition, according to Yashin, one of the employees who were looking for Ryklin “mentioned about some kind of investigative check that could turn into a criminal case.”

reports RPR-PARNASRyklin was one of the applicants of the “March of Change”, planned for December 12 and not agreed upon by the Moscow authorities. After his arrest, he was taken to the Meshchansky police station. Eyewitnesses said that after Ryklin was released from the police department, the first deputy head of the Moscow regional security department, Vasily Oleynik, gave the police a dressing down. No protocol was drawn up against Ryklin.
