The police blocked the Don highway 500 meters from the Moscow Ring Road to prevent the movement of a convoy of truckers. As a correspondent for the Dozhd TV channel reported from the scene on the evening of December 15, two drivers were detained.
According to Open Russia journalist Ilya Vasyunin, one of the truck driver coordinators, Alexey Ulyanov, was detained and taken to the police department for an explanation. According to the coordinator of truckers, Taisiya Nikitina, both detainees were soon released.
According to Dozhd, there are 11 trucks in the stopped convoy. Nikitina, in turn, reported 30 cars. As Ulyanov told Dozhd, the trucks did not carry out the action, but changed their parking location. Earlier, the RBC website reported that truckers are planning to hold a “Snail” rally on the Moscow Ring Road, driving at the minimum permitted speed in protest against the introduction of tolls on federal highways.
On the afternoon of December 15, the Tula News agency reported that the police blocked 15 trucks on the 91st kilometer of Kashirskoye Highway and, without explaining the reason, did not let the drivers out of the cars.
